It's a Carnival Procession
Stunning costumes, great marching beats, fantastic colour - that's what a perfect parade is all about - and don't forget the pipe band!
It all adds to the excitement and gets the Festival off to a flying start.
As before, the 2010 procession will start from Shawlands and walk down Pollokshaws Road before turning into Alison Street and then into Victoria Road.
Once in Victoria Road we head straight for the fabulous park gates and straight on in. The official opening will launch the first events and then it's all go 'til sundown!
